Tala'ea El Gaish SC ( Arabic نادي طلائع الجيش الرياضي, DMG Nādī Ṭalāʾiʿ al-Ǧaiš ar-riyāḍī ) is an Egyptian sports club based in Cairo . The club is best known for its professional soccer team, which currently plays in the Egyptian Premier League , the highest division in the Egyptian soccer league system.
The club also has a basketball team that competes in the Egyptian basketball super league.
history
The association was founded in 1997 by the Egyptian army . The greatest success was reaching fourth place in the 2006/07 season and in the 2007/08 season in the top division. In 2013 the club reached the semi-finals of the Egyptian Cup.
