Talas is a district in the center of the Kayseri Province in Central Anatolia in Turkey . The main town of the district is the town of the same name, Talas . The district administrator ( Kaymakam ) is Salih Bıçak. The district of Talas had 60,925 inhabitants in 2000, according to the statistical data for 2008 it was 81,399 inhabitants.
