The Nahetal Viaduct or Nahetalbrücke is a 435 m long bridge on the A 73 motorway .
The structure is located near Schleusingen between the Schleusingen and Eisfeld- Nord motorway junctions . It spans the Nahe valley with the Nahe river and two farm roads at a maximum height of 30 m . The bridge, which is curved in plan, has a cross slope of 2.5%. The overpass with two separate superstructures was built between 2005 and 2007.
Substructures
The full cross-section of the maximum 25 m high pillars is V-shaped. To accommodate the bearings, the octagonal cross-section at the pier head expands 7.8 m below the superstructure into two rectangular cross-sections.
Superstructures
The two adjacent superstructures of the prestressed concrete bridge have the continuous beam as a structural system in the longitudinal direction . In the transverse direction there is a box cross-section with a constant construction height of 3.7 m. The slab is a maximum of 50 cm thick, the inclined walkways 40 cm. The prestressing consists of a mixed construction with internal and external tendons .
The total span for the 9-span bridge is 435.0 m. The western end field spans 44.0 m, the following six openings have spans of 52.0 m, followed by a field with 44.0 m and the eastern end field with 35.0 m span.
execution
The bridge superstructure was constructed using the incremental launching method. The tact basement was at the Eisfeld abutment.
