Talitha (first name)

Talitha or Talita is a female given name, which has its origin in the Gospel of Mark (Chapter 5:41). There Jesus resuscitated a dead girl with the words "Talitha kumi", which translated means something like "girl, get up!" The name translates from Aramaic and means "little girl". In 2009, Talitha / Talita was the 100th most chosen name for female newborns in Brazil.
