Talk down

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As Talk Down (based on English calm down - calm down) or down speeches is the calming a person in drug-related anxiety - anger - or Verwirrtheits ; states designated by soothing words.

This method of re-establishing a reference to reality is one of the most important tasks of a trip sitter .

If the talk down does nothing and the person concerned poses a danger to himself or others , a doctor must be consulted who can use sedatives to reduce the person's symptoms under certain circumstances and who is bound by medical confidentiality .
