Trip sitter

The trip sitter is a person who supervises or accompanies the trip - the hallucinogenic drug experience - of another or a not too large group. He should know the drug to be consumed , but must be sober himself. The trip sitter can help with problems, e.g. B. in psychological, in serious cases called horror trip , intervene. This usually happens through body contact, reassuring persuasion and changing the setting. The risk of accidents in hallucinogenic intoxication can also be reduced by a trip sitter. In general, it is advisable for newcomers to the field of the respective drug to involve trip sitters, as they can often help the person concerned and can usually prevent an emergency doctor having to be called. The help of a trip sitter is considered particularly responsible in relevant circles.
