TamaTech or Tama Tech ( Japanese 多 摩 テ ッ ク tamatekku ) is a former amusement park in the city ​​of Hino, part of Tokyo prefecture .

history

The park was largely built from 1961 by Sōichirō Honda near the Tama River in order to offer Japanese society something comparable to Disneyland in America. It was all about motorization and motorsport . A variety of different vehicles were available for young and old. Especially famous was the so-called "Monkey-ride" on a Honda Z100 - scooter , which later became the two-wheeler "Honda Monkey" and its successor models Honda CZ100 , Z50M , Z50A , Z50Z and Z50J emerged.

On September 30, 2009, the amusement park and the associated bathing and spa facilities were closed.
