Tamal (king)
Tamal was a Blemmy king who ruled Lower Nubia in the late fourth or early fifth centuries .
Tamal is known so far from three short Greek inscriptions that are located at the temple of Kalabsha . The inscriptions are difficult to understand, but they seem to be about donations of land to high people. A high priest is mentioned in one of the inscriptions , which proves that the pagan temple operations in Kalabsha were still functioning at that time .
