Tango (company)

Tango is a Luxembourg telecommunications company as well as mobile network operator , fixed network and IPTV provider. It was founded in 1998 and has been part of Proximus , formerly Belgacom , since 2008 .

Tango operates two GSM networks (900/1800 MHz), which together cover 99.9 percent of the area of ​​Luxembourg, and a UMTS network, which covers 70 percent of the area and 90 percent of the population of Luxembourg (including Luxembourg City and Esch City) (As of 2005). The UMTS network supports HSDPA with download rates of up to 7.2 Mbit / s.

Tango claims to have more than 276,000 customers. Tango has been cooperating with Vodafone since March 2009 . Tango competes in Luxembourg with Post Luxembourg (formerly LuxGSM) and Orange (formerly VoxMobile).

In March 2000 Tango started a GSM network in Liechtenstein, which was sold to Unify Nederland BV in December 2009 and has meanwhile been incorporated into its Swiss provider subsidiary in & phone or has been completely dissolved.
