Tannbergalm

The Tannbergalm , also known under the name Seehuberalm or Mayer-Gschwendter-Alm , is an alpine pasture in the Traunstein district in Bavaria . It belongs to the municipality of Ruhpolding and is located around 6 km southwest of the village on a moderately steep northeast slope at an altitude of 1200  m above sea level. NHN . To the west of it is the Haaralm , to the north the Nesslauer Alm . It can be reached from Brand . The Alm is owned by the Bavarian State Forests and was fallow for several decades before 2010.

As part of the INTERREG IV A project Activate Alpine Pastures - New Paths for Diversity , the earlier diversity of species on the Alpine pastures is to be restored on the approximately ten hectare Tannbergalm.

  • As part of the EuRegio meadow championship , the Tannbergalm 2014 was recognized as one of the most beautiful and biodiverse alpine pastures.
