Tapalazunauli
Tapalazunauli , also Tapalazunauwali, was the brother of Piyama-Kurunta and a son of Uḫḫaziti , the last king of Arzawa . After the Hittite great king Muršili II Apaša , the capital of Arzawa, Uḫḫaziti fled with his family to the islands that belonged to the king of Aḫḫiyawa , where he died. His son Tapalazunauli returned to the mainland the following year (1317 BC) and entrenched himself in the city of Puranda, possibly identical to a fortified Bronze Age settlement discovered not far from Metropolis . Mursili II besieged the city and cut off the water supply. Tapalazunauli managed to escape, but his family fell into the hands of the Hittites.
