Taqali (also called Tegali , Tagale , Tegele , Tekele or Togole ) is a Kordofan language spoken in Kordofan in Sudan , in and around the city of Rashad .
It belongs to the group of Rashad languages within the Niger-Congo language family and is closely related to the Tagoi language.
There are two varieties, Raschad or Gom (Kom, Ngakom, Kome) and Tegali-Proper. It is stated that the two are almost identical and are viewed as a separate language. On the other hand, the Tegali themselves consider it to be two separate languages.
