The Taser aerial tramway is a cable car . It leads from Schenna to Schennaberg in South Tyrol , not far from Meran and does not follow the circulation principle. The system replaced the previous Troyer aerial tramway , which, with an hourly transport capacity of 60 people, could not withstand today's demands.

New cable car

The new cable car is approx. 1727 meters long and overcomes a height difference of 626 meters on this route. The Taser aerial tramway was opened in 2004 and is now operated by Seilbahn Schenna GmbH . The railway was built by the Doppelmayr company . The two gondolas, each with a capacity of 25 people, overcome 6 meters per second and have an hourly capacity of 220 people.
