Tatiana Nikolaevna Moskalkowa
Tatiana Nikolajewna Moskalkowa ( Russian Татьяна Николаевна Москалькова , English Tatyana Moskalkova ; born May 30, 1955 in Vitebsk , Belarusian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian politician . She has been the Human Rights Commissioner of the Russian Federation since 2016 .
Life
Tatiana Moskalkova had worked in the pardons department of the Supreme Soviet of the Russian SFSR since 1974 . In 1978 she completed a correspondence course in law. Since 1984 she worked in the legal service of the Ministry of Interior of the USSR , since 1992 of the Russian Federation. There she last acquired the rank of major general in the police.
Since 2007 she was a member of the Just Russia party in the State Duma . On April 22, 2016, she was elected by the Duma as the human rights commissioner of the Russian Federation.
