The Tatung University (大同大學) is a private university in Zhongshan , Taipei , Taiwan . There is a close cooperation with the hardware manufacturer Tatung .
history
The Tatung Institute for Technology was founded in 1956. Initially, only two-year college programs were offered. The school's first president was TS Lin. In 1963 the study programs were accredited for four years. Masters courses have been offered since 1976 and doctoral programs since 1982. In 1999 the institute was renamed Tatung University .
