The Taube Elbe is a lake in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony . It is located north of the town of Dannenberg (Elbe) in the joint municipality of Elbtalaue and southwest of Penkefitz , a district of Dannenberg. The pigeon Elbe is an old arm or an old meander of the Elbe .
The extension of the lake is about 380 meters in north-south direction and about 1800 meters in east-west direction. The water of the lake flows over the main drainage ditch Dannenberger Marsch to the Elbe .
The lake is the namesake for the SV Taube-Elbe Penkefitz.
