Taylors of Harrogate is a tea trading house known beyond the borders of Great Britain .

In 1886 the merchant Charles Taylor founded the specialty shop for tea and coffee in Harrogate in the English county of Yorkshire . He found out that the water has a decisive influence on the taste of the tea made from it. He began to adapt his blends (tea blends) to different water hardnesses , thus laying the foundation for the nationwide popularity of his teas. Taylors of Harrogate still offers its teas in a special blend for hard water. The very popular " Yorkshire Tea " blend is now available in international stores.
