Tbilvino

Tbilvino is a private winery in Tbilisi , Georgia . It was state-owned until 1998, when it was privatized. It was founded in 1962.

In the first years of Georgia's independence, the old system was still used: Everything that the farmers delivered was expanded and bottled without any particular inspection of quality or market requirements . Since the privatization, only selected grapes have been purchased and vinified using modern oenological methods . The addition of oak chips is also practiced here to round off the wines according to the customer's taste.

Market position

Today Tbilvino wines are sold in Switzerland , among others .
