Tchad utile

Le Tchad utile (roughly: the useful / usable Chad ) denotes the fertile south-west of the Republic of Chad , in contrast to the economically less important north and east . The region is the center of cotton cultivation , the country's main export product until the start of oil production in 2003. The population of the region is predominantly Sara .
