Technology Park Paderborn

The Paderborn Technology Park is an area with offices and laboratories for technology companies, especially for spin-offs from the University of Paderborn , within whose sight it is located. It offers 1,100 workplaces on 26,000 m 2 of office and laboratory space. The dSPACE company grew in the technology park to its present size.

Technology centers

The technology park is divided into four technology centers, which are housed in the different buildings:

  • Technology Center 1 is one of the original houses. Mainly start-ups find here - partly subsidized - offices with collective usable space. It was built in 1992 and houses conference rooms and a canteen.
  • Technology Center 2 was completed in June 1996 and is primarily a center for optoelectronics and surface technology.
  • Technology Center 3 and other buildings include a large number of diverse companies, primarily from the IT sector.
  • Technology Center 4 is the newest building in the technology park. It also has a focus on the ICT / IT area.

The Technology Park Paderborn is operated by an operating company, which is majority owned by the city of Paderborn economic development company. There is an advisory board that includes representatives of the park's owners, tenant companies, the rector of the university, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and others. The park was funded by the Ministry of Economics of North Rhine-Westphalia .
