The Technology Experiment Satellite ( TES for short ) was an Indian earth observation satellite operated by the Indian space agency ISRO . It is part of the Indian Remote Sensing program.

mission

ISRO used TES to test new technologies. Tests for attitude control systems, engines , camera systems and power supply were carried out. The satellite was able to take pictures with a resolution of 1 meter.

TES was launched into sun - synchronous orbit on October 22, 2001 aboard a PSLV launcher along with Proba and BIRD .
