Teijin KK ( Japanese 帝 人 株式会社 , Teijin Kabushiki kaisha , English Teijin Limited ; TYO : 3401) is a Japanese chemical and pharmaceutical company . It is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange with a market capitalization of the equivalent of 1,738.82 million euros (as of February 2013). The company is divided into five business areas: synthetic fibers, films and plastics, pharmaceuticals and home care, trade and retail, and IT and new products. Teijin has approximately 16,800 employees worldwide.

In Germany, Teijin has a branch in the Glanzstoff high-rise in Wuppertal . Around 60 people are employed there.
