The Berggießhübel-Land administrative association was an administrative association in Saxony . It existed for five years from 1994 to 1999. The main town of the association was Berggießhübel . The association area was located at the transition between Saxon Switzerland and the Eastern Ore Mountains in the Saxon Switzerland district near the border with the Czech Republic .
history
The Berggießhübel-Land administrative association was founded with effect from January 1, 1994 by five municipalities in the Pirna district . These were:
- City of Berggießhübel with Zwiesel and Oelsen
- Cotta municipality with Cotta A and Cotta B
- Dohma municipality
- Community Langenhennersdorf with Bahra and Forsthaus
- Municipality Bahratal with marker brook and Hellendorf
Three months after the association was founded, the area was enlarged when Goes was incorporated into Dohma on March 1, 1994. When the first Saxon district reform came into effect on August 1, 1994, the association area became part of the new district of Saxon Switzerland. With effect from January 1, 1998 Cotta joined the municipality of Dohma and consequently left the administrative association.
In the municipal area reform law of the Upper Elbe Valley / Eastern Ore Mountains , which the Saxon state parliament had passed on October 28, 1998, provision was made for the dissolution of the administrative association. From Berggießhübel, Langenhennersdorf, Bahratal and Bad Gottleuba , the new town of Bad Gottleuba-Berggießhübel emerged on January 1st, 1999 . Dohma remained independent, but from January 1, 2000 formed an administrative partnership with Pirna . The Berggießhübel-Land administrative association was then dissolved. A lawsuit against the dissolution of the association failed.
