Part of the Kesselshof
The house Burggraben 25 is part of the Kesselshof in the Bensberg district of Bergisch Gladbach . The Kesselshof consisted of several buildings at Burggraben 9-25a. Around 1700 they were owned by the knightly von Bottlenberg family , also known as the Kessel . They were ducal tax officials in the Porz office. Already in the 12th century they were ministerials of the first Bergisch count house . In the 13th century they were Burgmannen at Bensberg Castle . In 1827, the Prussian original cadastre lists a one and a half-story half-timbered house no.25 owned by the tailor Mathias Bachem. In 1910 the house was assigned to the property of the haulier Peter Gerhard Ommer.
Striking is a gas lantern from the first half of the 20th century, which is attached to the front of the house as a decoration.
