The telephone 2001 (also Tel 2001 , telephone 2001 Design by Porsche or ArtLine Porsche Design ) is an analog touch-tone telephone to the German Federal Post and Deutsche Telekom . It was presented in 1989 by the Federal Post Office and distributed by Deutsche Telekom until the 1990s.

The 2001 telephone was a very modern telephone set for the time. It was characterized by numerous comfort functions such as display, programmable speed dialing and hands-free function . The keyboard can be protected with a PIN .

design

The device was designed by Porsche Design . The keypad of the device can be rotated. There is a flap on the underside of the handset , behind which frequently used telephone numbers can be noted. The design of the telephone received two awards in 1989, namely the “Design Selection ” award from the Stuttgart Design Center and the “Award for good industrial design” from the Hanover Industry Forum .
