history

Regional beginnings

Teleplan was founded in 1983 in Griesheim near Darmstadt by Edmund Krix. Teleplan originally provided services in the field of broadcast equipment for radio and television. Teleplan's know-how in measurement and test procedures as well as in control procedures provided the necessary basis to meet the requirements of the then booming computer and PC industry and customers such as Sony and HP in the 1980s.

Until 1990 Teleplan concentrated on regional expansion in order to be able to accept larger orders. At the same time, the know-how was constantly expanded and software was developed in-house in order to be able to control the service process holistically. Teleplan developed into one of the most important companies in the German market in the field of CRT monitor repairs with a rapidly increasing number of large European customers.

International expansion

International expansion shaped the next phase in the company's history. To this end, numerous companies in Europe were taken over and acquired.

In 1998 the company moved to the Netherlands and the company was listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in Germany.

Teleplan was one of the "classics" from the Neuer Markt . In November 1998 the share started trading at the equivalent of 11.50 euros . In times of the dot-com bubble , the share rose to 60 euros, after which it fell to 0.34 euros due to overvaluation coupled with management errors.

Restructuring

Starting in 2002, the company parted with numerous previous acquisitions.

A refinancing took place in 2004, which was borne by a few larger shareholders. A capital increase followed in June 2005 as part of the refinancing. Another capital increase of 10 percent of the share capital took place two years later (2007) in order to increase the liquid funds.

The restructuring of Teleplan was completed in 2009, which was also the most profitable year in the company's history. At the beginning of December 2010 it was announced that the financial investor Gilde Equity intends to take over Teleplan for 154 million euros.
