Telescopic rod

Details: Line rings on the segments of a telescopic rod (almost completely pushed together)

The telescopic rod is a fishing rod . However, since the rods are usually several meters long today, the rod must be able to be reduced in size for transport and storage purposes. The problem with the telescopic rod has been solved by dividing it into several segments of approx. 50-100 cm, which can be pushed into one another as they become thinner towards the tip. This reduces the transport length to approx. Segment length. This type of division is at the expense of the action and resilience of the rod. Also here, unlike the detachable rod , the number of line rings is limited to the number of segments. Still, it's very popular.

The telescopic rod was invented by the American fly fishing expert Charles Ritz .
