Telestes (King of Corinth)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Telestes ( Greek  Τελέστης ), the son of Aristomedes , was a king of Corinth .

When his father died, Telestes was still a child, so his uncle and bodyguard Agemon took control. This was followed by his son Alexander on the throne of Corinth. It was only when Telestes killed Alexander that he was able to run his father's government. After twelve years of reign, however, Telestes was killed by Arieus and Perantas and Automenes became his successor.
