The Temple Glacier is a glacier on the Davis Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows into the south side of Lanchester Bay .
Aerial photos by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1955 to 1957, the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey was used for mapping. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the glacier in 1960 after the French officer and aviation pioneer Félix du Temple (1823–1890), who developed the first motor-driven aircraft model in 1857 that could take off, fly and land safely without further assistance.
