The Davis Coast is a 74 km long stretch of coast in the west of the Antarctic Peninsula , which lies between Cape Kjellman and Cape Sterneck in Grahamland . The Danco Coast connects to the south and the Trinity Peninsula to the north .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1965 after the American seal hunter John Davis (1784 - approx. 1860), who was probably the first person to set foot on the Antarctic continent in Hughes Bay on February 7, 1821 .
