The Foyn Coast is a stretch of coast in the east of the Antarctic Peninsula that lies between Cape Alexander and Cape Northrop in Graham Land . The Bowman Coast connects to the south and the Oskar II Coast to the north .
The Norwegian whaler and Antarctic explorer Carl Anton Larsen discovered it in 1893 during his trip to the Antarctic and named it after his compatriot Svend Foyn (1809-1894), the inventor of the modern harpoon cannon.
