Tempo Records was a British jazz record label founded in 1946.

The record label Tempo Records , with the recently founded Esquire label, was one of the most important record companies in English post-war jazz. After it was founded in 1946 and initially with recordings of traditional jazz a . a. was represented on the market by Humphrey Lyttelton , the hitherto independent label came into the possession of the British Decca and released a number of albums of modern British jazz in the second half of the 1950s - beginning with the 25 cm album Meet Don Rendell in 1955 .
