The Tenno-Kogo stone is a memorial on the Baderwiese in the Lainzer Tiergarten . It is made of Wienerwald sandstone and is intended to commemorate the visit of the Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko on July 14, 2002 to Vienna .

A Japanese larch was planted on both sides of the monument .

On the occasion of a state visit by the Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko from July 13 to 16, 2002 in Vienna, the imperial couple visited the Lainzer Tiergarten on July 14, 2002 on special request to take a walk there. The monument was unveiled on September 8, 2003 by the then Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi Hashimoto, Mayor Michael Häupl and District Chairman Heinrich Gerstbach .

The memorial stone bears the following inscription in Japanese and German:

On July 14th, Her Majesties the Emperor Akihito and the Empress Michiko of Japan visited the Lainzer Tiergarten and enjoyed the view of Vienna from this place in bright beautiful weather.
