from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the German organizational literature , the term tensor organization is understood to mean a three- or multi-dimensional structural model . The term tensor is borrowed from mathematics . The division of tasks is usually based on the dimensions : orientation, object / project and region. This organizational structure is interesting for international companies that offer a diversified product range in heterogeneous markets. They are used in a relatively unstable environmental situation and an inhomogeneous service program. In this form of organization , high demands are placed on the employees' ability to cooperate. The tensor organization is closely related to the matrix organization and has similar advantages and disadvantages.
