Teresa Adam (born March 3, 1990 in Waitakere ) is a triathlete from New Zealand . She is a multiple Ironman winner (2018, 2019) and is listed as the leader in the list of New Zealand triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

Teresa Adam has been a professional athlete since 2018 and has been doing the Ironman distance since 2018 (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running). In June 2018 she won the Ironman Cairns with a new course record and thus qualified for a starting place at the Ironman Hawaii .

In 2019, the 29-year-old strong swimmer was able to successfully defend her title in Cairns and improved the course record to 9:48:34 h, which made her the leader of the list of New Zealand triathletes on the Ironman distance . She has been racing for the Austrian Pewag Racing Team since 2019 .

In March 2020 she won the Ironman New Zealand with a new course record.
