Termon ( Irish An Tearmann ; English "place of sanctuary" , probably in the sense of "refuge") is a sprawling town in County Donegal in the north of the Republic of Ireland .

Termon is relatively central in the northern interior of County Donegal on the national road N56 , which opens up as a circular route the west and north of the county, 13 km north-northwest of Letterkenny , the largest city in the county. The population was determined by the 2002 Census to be 308. In parliamentary terms, Termon is part of Donegal North East .
