Terrace Bay [ ˈtɛɹəsˌbeɪ̯ ] is a township in the Canadian province of Ontario in the Thunder Bay district . Terrace Bay has 1625 inhabitants on an area of 151.24 km² and is located on the shores of Lake Superior . Terrace Bay has a hospital and an airport. The Canadian Pacific Railway tracks are close to the township . The township's motto is “the gem of the north bank”.
