Devil armchair
The Teufelssessel is a striking rock formation in the western part of the Teufelsmauer in the northern Harz foreland near Blankenburg in the Harz district , Saxony-Anhalt .
It is located directly on the ridge of the devil's wall. The ridge path that runs along the Teufelsmauer leads directly north of the Teufelssessel . The rock has two artificially carved seating niches on its north side, from which its name derives.
A tree a little northeast of the Teufelssessel bears a sign with the name Teufelssessel .
