The Textile and Racing Museum (TRM) in Hohenstein-Ernstthal , established in the 1990s, is located in a five-story factory building of the former CF Jäckel textile company.

Details

On an exhibition area of ​​over 1400 m², topics such as jacquard weaving , hosiery , knitting and embroidery as well as the linen industry are shown. The manufacture of textile products on the historical machines presented is demonstrated. The extensive collection of woven murals is a unique selling point of the museum.

The connection between textile and motor sport history is unusual, but justified by the city's history. The exhibition area for the legendary Sachsenring shows historical and current developments along the racetrack. The exhibits include original road racing machines , racing clothing and an extensive collection of models.

The annual special exhibitions deal with topics relating to regional industrial history and textile art.

The city ​​rights fountain is located in the Textile and Racing Museum .
