Cameron Wells (born September 23, 1988 in Houston , Texas ) is an American basketball player .

career

The versatile point guard went to his college time for the military college The Citadel in the Southern Conference of the NCAA on basket hunt. His first professional contract was in the 2011/12 season with Landstede Basketball Zwolle in the first Dutch league. There he was the team's best basket hunter with an average of 14 points.

After an interlude in the NBA summer league 2012, the 186 cm tall Wells ended up in the basketball league with the Walter Tigers from Tübingen . In 29 missions, “Cam” achieved an average of 6 points.

In the summer of 2013, Wells sustained a knee injury. He then suspended the game for a year. On June 24, 2014, the second division Gießen 46ers signed the then 26-year-old for a year. The Hessian club was promoted to the basketball Bundesliga again in spring 2015. After two years in the German upper house of basketball, Wells moved to the Italian first division ( Varese ). In 2018 he moved to the Bundesliga club Würzburg . In the 2019/20 season he was appointed captain of the Würzburg team by coach Denis Wucherer .
