Théodore Frédéric Louis Liomin

Théodore Frédéric Louis Liomin ( March 24, 1765 in Sonvilier - March 7, 1801 in Paris ) was a Swiss lawyer and notary.

Life

Liomin, son of the innkeeper and mayors of Sonvilier Frédéric Louis Liomin and Susanne Chopard, studied Jus and was Lic. Iur . After graduating, he worked as a court lawyer and notary, and in 1785 as a clerk at Erguel .

As Prince-Bishop Meier in Saint-Imier from 1786 to 1797, Liomin was involved in the turmoil of the revolution and actively participated in the unification of the southern bailiwicks of the Principality of Basel with France. He presided over the central administration of the French department of Mont-Terrible and on April 18, 1800 was appointed the first sub-prefect of Pruntrut .

Liomin wrote notable reports on the state of the watchmaking industry and local industries at the start of the consulate.

He was the nephew of Georges-Louis Liomin and married to Henriette Voumard.
