Thaddeus Vincenty
Thaddeus Vincenty (born October 27, 1920 in Grodzisk , Poland; † March 6, 2002 in Gaithersburg (Maryland), USA) was a Polish-American geodesist .
Among other things, he created an algorithm for solving the first and second main tasks of geodesy from 1975.
He was instrumental in creating the "NAD83" (North American Datum ).
Vincenty emigrated to the United States in 1947. His wife was named Barbara. He had a daughter named Krysia and two sons named Michael and Richard.
