Thade Jude Correa

Thade Jude Correa (born January 17, 1983 ) is an American composer and poet.

Life

Correa studied literature and music at Indiana University Bloomington . His teachers were Jack Winsor Hansen , Jean-Louis Haguenauer , Sven-David Sandström and PQ Phan . He obtained his master's degree in 2010 as part of the interdisciplinary Masters of Arts Program in the Humanities at the University of Chicago . He received a prize at the Oregon Bach Festival for Look Down Fair Moon and the Ruth and Emil Beyer Memorial Award for Two Poems of Louise Glück . The choral piece The Vow of Shantideva was performed on the occasion of a visit by the Dalai Lama to Bloomington in 2008. Correa's poems have appeared in magazines such as Ibbetson Street and The Aurorean .
