The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is an American Christian television station whose headquarters and main studios in Virginia Beach ( Virginia ) are.

CBN was founded in 1961 by the evangelist Pat Robertson . Since then, CBN has broadcast a range of different Christian programs that are quite successful in the field of religious broadcasters. One of the most important programs is The 700 Club , which is currently the longest running program in this category. Other programs include religious news programs such as CBN NewsWatch and Christian World News, as well as the talk show Living the Life , which runs as part of the 700 Club and airs on ABC Family .

Another important part of CBN's work is Operation Blessing , an international humanitarian aid organization.

In the meantime, CBN also works internationally in various regions of the world, from Solusi in Indonesia to From Heart to Heart in Thailand . CBN India alone produces five weekly series. Versions of The 700 Club will be adapted for Latin America ( Club 700 Hoy ) and British viewers ( The 700 Club With Paul and Fiona ). Since 2007, a German-language version has also been broadcast on the Christian television station BibelTV . CBN creates programs in over 70 languages.

According to author Bethany Moreton, the Christian Broadcasting Network supported the Guatemalan dictator José Efraín Ríos Montt, who was later convicted of genocide .
