overview

The only aim of the game is to collect as many points as possible. However, there are two central mechanisms:

  • Tour The Mansion : The Addams Family mansion is located in the middle of the playing field and has twelve windows. Each window corresponds to a different room that the player can enter and collect points in different ways.
  • Vault Multiball : There is a blue bookcase in the upper right area of the playing field. If it is hit often enough, the bookshelf rotates so that the safe behind it can be hit. Multiple hits in the safe trigger a multiball mode.

Other goals and mechanisms are:

  • Bear Kicks : A ramp in the upper center of the playing field awards one or two "Bear Kicks", points, rooms in the villa or additional balls.
  • Staircase Ramp : A ramp on the left side of the playing field through which the player can collect an increasing number of points and letters in the word “THING”.
  • Graveyard : Five bumpers that increase the “graveyard value” that is collected elsewhere in the game.
  • Train Wreck : A dead end street in the upper left section that awards points, supports the graveyard scoring and unlocks extra balls.
  • Grave : Five targets in different places on the playing field, over which letters with the word "GRAVE" are collected.

Special Collectors Edition / Gold Edition

The pinball machine was so successful that in 1994 Bally produced a thousand copies in a Gold Edition. Even before production began, Bally received 1,000 orders for the model. For the Gold Edition, certain parts were built in gold, such as the legs, lockbar, ramps and the bumper caps.
