The Bicycle Thief
The Bicycle Thief was a short-lived American band founded by Bob Forrest between 1998 and 2001. After the band Thelonious Monster , in which he was the front man, barely worked together from 1994, Forrest met 17-year-old Josh Klinghoffer . After a few months they went into the studio to record their only studio album with Geraldine Fibbers' Kevin Fitzgerald . This was released on September 28, 1999 as "You Come And Go Like A Pop Song". Among other things, they then appeared on SpikeRadio.
In 2001 the album was re-released with a modified setlist and new artwork and the single "Stoned + 2" was released.
The lyrics of You Come And Go Like A Pop Song are mainly about Bob Forrest's drug addiction and the processing of this time. It practically represents a line between old and new life.
