The Bump ( English for The Mute ) is a hill on the Robertson Point on the east side of the entrance to Fortuna Bay on the north coast of South Georgia .
The hill was given its descriptive name by scientists from the British Discovery Investigations , who mapped it between 1929 and 1930.
