history
The Circ consists of producer Alexander Perls and singer Madelin Lane . Both met at a Sonic Youth concert in New York in the summer of 2001.
Perls has lived in New York since 1998 and works for the American video artist Matthew Barney .
Madelin had come to New York six months earlier and was working for a talent finder for one-day soap operas.
After a few conversations between the two of them, it turned out that Perls was looking for a singer for a piece of music that he wanted to produce. Madelin agreed to give it a try as a singer. With their debut single Destroy She Said they had a chart hit in Germany in 2003.
