The Classical Quarterly ( CQ for short ) is an English-language specialist journal on ancient Greek and Roman languages, literature, philosophy and history. The magazine appears twice a year, in May and December. The Classical Quarterly was founded in 1906 and is currently edited by Miriam Griffin and Judith Mossman on behalf of the Classical Association .

From 1907 to 1950 the magazine appeared in a first row with the numbers 1 to 44 as a spin-off of the magazine The Classical Review . Since 1951 the magazine has appeared in a second series, which was started again with the number 1. The Classical Quarterly is published by Cambridge University Press .
