The Firebird Band

The Firebird Band is an indie rock band from Chicago, United States. The band was founded in 1996 as a side project by Chris Broach , a member of the successful emo / post-hardcore band Braid and his brother Riley Broach. The band's first venture was the album New York 7 " , which was released in 1998 under the band name The Firebird Suite . After Braid's breakup in 1999, the band became Chris Broach's main project.

The current line-up of The Firebird Band consists of Christopher Broach, Steve Znavor (of Life at Sea ) and Mike Marsden ( The New Constitution ).

  • Riley Broach - played on New York 7 "and The Firebird Band Archives.
  • Chris Wilson - played on New York 7 ", The Firebird Project and The Firebird Band Archives.
  • Pablo Gammeri - played on The Firebird Project.
  • Todd Finkel - played drums on songs 1 through 11 on The Setting Sun and Its Satellites.
  • Andy Hawthorne - played The Drive and guitar for some songs on The Setting Sun and Its Satellites album
  • Sebastian Paquet - played on The Drive.
  • Erik Bocek - played bass for some songs on The Setting Sun and Its Satellites.
  • John Isberg - sang background and co-wrote the album The City at Night. He also played bass and keyboard for this one.
  • Chris Camden - (Liar's Academy and Cross My Heart) toured with The Firebird Band in 2005.
  • Robert Bock (Monday's Hero and Of The Opera) toured with The Firebird Band in 2005/2006.

  • Rob Kellenberger (Duvall, Tuesday, and Slapstick) - played drums on The City At Night.
  • Chris Common - played drums for "Wake Up" on The City At Night.
  • Roy Ewing (Braid and Very Secretary) - played drums for "The Runway" and "Distance" on the album The Drive.
  • Aaron Barr - played bass for "The Drive", "The Runaway", and "Distance" on The Drive.
  • Elizabeth Black - vocals "The Deeper I Go, the Darker It Gets", "Dangerous", and "Can't Stop" on The City At Night.
  • JB and Urban Myth (Kerbloki) - Performance and rhyme for "Wake Up" on The City At Night.
  • Seth Fein * (Absinthe Blind) - toured as drums in summer 2001 with the band
